Sharks

Abstract
The topic of this paper is regarding the increasingly problematic situation of sharks throughout the world. It argues that sharks should be saved by implementing a course of action plan. This plan consists of three essentials. The first is that government should get involved in the policing of shark killers as well as the government being prepared to confront shark killers. The second is that the government should authorize scientific organizations to be able to declare a species endangered without having to go through red tape. The third is that there should be made an increase in the sharks’ number by doing genetic engineering and cloning.

Sharks are killed everywhere around the world. All sharks are changing their places around the world. The global warming and the pollution are causing a decrease in the population of the sharks along with other related animals. “(S)hark numbers are so low experts fear the species may be experiencing difficulties breeding” (Pollard, 2001,para.1). Only 550 sharks may remain on Australia’s east coast, scientific research suggests. After that, the number of people who kill sharks and trade on them is increasing every day (Maddalena. n.d). “Human activities exert a key influence on shark survival and as fisheries relying on other types of fish have declined,” (Maddalena, n.d., para.4). On the other hand, people are starting to make organization to make people understand the situation. According to Marren (2007), there was a meeting in Oxford to discuss the global plight of migratory, open-sea sharks; the Sharks Specialist of the World Conservation Union (IUCN) agreed that practically every species of large shark found in European waters was heading for extinction. As one can see, there are many sources that name this increasing problem and there needs to be some attention thrown towards this issue in order for things to be properly taken care of. While many acknowledge that this is an issues to address, many either do not see the serious importance of this issue, or moreover do not have a plan of action in order to rectify this situation.

The sharks are endangered in our world, so we need many solutions to keep them away from the killers. We need to have a good and active organization for the sharks to protect them from the killers, and have marine police. We need to create reserve pools, which are individual pools in espial farms or inside the ocean, to protect the sharks and make an increase in the shark’s number. In addition, we need to make the sharks familiar with the different types of weather by cloning. Finally, people should stop some of their industrial activities, which affect the sea animals in general.

Firstly, we need to have strong patrol organizations and marine police that have the equipment and capacity to capture the shark killers. What are needed are proper patrol boats that scout the waters and look for such violations. The marine police need to also have the proper authority to arrest and book those who kill sharks. With this power, if someone tries to kill a shark, they could be heavily fined. A proper plan would include a 3-strike system that consists of the following: If it is the shark-killer’s first offense, he would be fined. The second offense would be a much larger fine, perhaps triple the first offense. But if the shark killer persists, they need to be put in jail. This would help protect the sharks from being killed off. There exist some examples of this type of system which have proven to be more or less effective. The reason it is effective is because when people have to pay money out of their pocket and/or risk criminal prosecution against themselves for the killing of a shark, they will naturally think twice about doing it again. One such example is that of a fifty-one-year-old man in Australia ( . According to the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, as of (2008, para.3) “a 51-year-old Lake Munmorah man who killed an endangered grey nurse shark has been fined $2,000.” The shark appeared to have had its throat cut. The law in Australia is that anyone who happens to catch one of these harmless sharks must release it immediately or else they would face prosecution. This particular type of shark, the grey nurse, was officially declared protected from fishing in 1984. In 2001 it was declared endangered. The NSW Department of Primary Industries goes further to put a toll-free number on their website to report anyone who happens to see or witness an endangered shark being attacked, killed, or caught. It is this very example of the policing system in Australia that is needed to be implemented worldwide in order to solve this problem of the disappearing sharks, and to save them from ultimate extinction.

Secondly, the creation of reserve pools would seriously help the sharks increase in number and come out of the endangered classification. Reserve pools are basically large in-house bodies of water which are designed strictly for the purpose of reproducing and raising fish (in this case sharks). These pools are under controlled environments and so there are no predators or otherwise obstacles that would potentially prevent reproduction to occur at a fast rate. These reserve pools are utilized when the very problem of endangered species exists. With these pools, the endangered species can quickly multiply and reproduce. If these reserve pools are made, and sharks are free to breed without predators; in a few years they will multiply and there will no longer be a risk of extinction. These pools would need some funding by the government in order to finance the operation. They are not cheap. However, it would be well worthwhile for the government to solve this issue now before the species become extinct and more problems arise. While one might think that its merely a single species of sharks, a precedent needs to be made that shows the public that the government is serious about protecting endangered species. An investment of about five years would prove useful and would provide the sharks an adequate amount of time to make a comeback. While this is not an immediate solution, no solutions really are. All of these suggestions need to be implemented simultaneously in order for there to be an effective positive result.

Finally, because global warming is also another factor aside from shark killers that is making them endangered, cloning and genetic engineering would prove useful to help the sharks adapt to the new environmental changes and climate shifts. Genetic engineering has been in use for the last decade and is slowly becoming increasingly popular and effective. Cloning and genetic engineering was once though of as taboo; however, now it has become such a part of our lives that in some instances it is hard to do without. If one just looks at the agricultural base, one would observe that there are many instances of genetic engineering being utilized. For instance, there are plants that are genetically engineered to resist the damaging effects of pesticides, or become immune towards them altogether. Other genetically engineered plants also have become more resistant does harsh weather conditions. This has become almost a necessity. Not only to such genetic engineering produce a more productive and profitable crop for the farmer, but it also hard to do without them now. Because of the rising issue of global warming becoming more and more dangerous, it is important that the plants can adapt to such a different climatic change. If they are unable to adapt, then there will be very few crops left and the prices for those remaining few will become extremely high. Similarly, if genetic engineering and cloning of sharks are used to help the sharks adapt to industrialized pollutants, for example, while the factories are simultaneously fined and regulated for such harmful dumping into bodies of water, the sharks will be less endangered. If sharks are genetically engineered and cloned to make them more resistant to temperature changes (as a result of global warming), the sharks will also become less endangered. Therefore, if the sharks DNA can be changed, for example, to deal with the temperature change, and also become immune to diseases that are brought forth by industrial activity, they will become hardier and hence more able to sustain their population and enter out of the endangered zone. Though this is not a quick process, it is possible and it can be done.

It can be said that the disappearing sharks are definitely a problem. However, this problem can easily be fixed if combinations of all the aforementioned solutions are implemented. There needs to be strict and enforcing marine police and organizations that reprimand shark-killers. There also needs to be an initiation of reserve pools so that the sharks can multiply once again while other things are worked on. Finally, the sharks can be genetically engineered and cloned to make the shark more resistant to climatic change and industrial activity. If all these solutions are implemented simultaneously, the shark population will not be endangered and they will surely make a comeback. However, as mentioned before, if these solutions are not implemented at the same time, they will not work, or at least they will not work as quickly. This problem needs to be combatted from all angles – from the shark’s defense and the environmental offense. It is only then that this problem of endangered sharks – and endangered species in general – can be solved and rectified.

In conclusion, it can be said that while there are endangered species that need attention, there must also be a proper plan to save them and provide them with assistance. To this day there is not a proper plan that incorporated all the aforementioned plans and ingredients needed to save such species. While there have been efforts in other countries as well as at home that have perhaps started in the right direction, any existing plans still do not seem exhaustive and are rather incomprehensive. The comprehensive solution should include the government doing their homework first before they initiate any action plans. Furthermore, the plan should include the authorization of scientific organizations to be able to declare a species endangered. Finally, we should make an increase in the sharks’ number by doing genetic engineering.

Do you like to shop online? Shopping online is the best way to save our time and money. Almost everybody has a job, so they become too busy sometimes. Sometimes we drive far away to get something but we can’t find it. So, shopping online saves our gasoline. Also, shopping online is cheaper than in stores because we buy the stuff without tax. However, shopping online has some risks. Your credit card number or your account number can be stolen. “Online shopping has become a convenient alternative to the traditional brick-and-mortar store. It has provided a method of easily finding what you're looking for or the best price without ever leaving your home, yet still some consumers still shy away because they believe it's too risky” (Ball, 2008, para 1).

People always like to have low price and good quality while buying their stuff. Of course, they can find it online. But what if we hear someone talk about how this thing can be dangerous? We will be not sure if we will buy online or not because we don’t want to be challenged with our money. But now, we have a high technology process, which can make our credit card very safe.
First, people think that hackers can steal the money very easily from our credit card while we are shopping. But, some companies make their shopping program have very high security. We never like to lose our money. “In fact online shopping has is quite safe, as long as you follow precautions…..the majority of identity theft occurred off-line with criminals intercepting mail or skimming data from carelessly discarded credit card receipts, according to the director of the FTC’s bureau of consu
mer protection” (Ball, 2008, para 1).

On the other hand, using credit card is very dangerous. People feel very angry when someone steals their money, because humans don’t like to lose their money. In our world, some people like to get money very easily even if this way is illegal. So, sometimes people are right to scared. “(Y)es, your credit card information can be stolen. Yes, it’s possible for this to escalate into a case of identity theft…..I’m here to tell you that yes, you can shop the internet safely, if you use your head” (Epinion.com, 2008, para2).

Finally, even if people in the past didn’t have technology as we have now, their money was safer than it is this time. Now, movies are playing a big role in teaching younger people how to steal money with technology. Younger people are stealing money just for fun now. They just have passion to do what they watch in the movies without knowing the risks of the government. ”A former master forger who became an anti-fraud consultant-to the FBI for 31 years and on whom the film “Catch Me If You Can”, …., was based- says the (S)hell incident forms part of a major technology driven crime wave….” (Nicholls, 2006, para. 5).

In conclusion, people can easily have quick and protected shopping. It can provide a lot of benefits. It is dangerous sometimes. Many people lose their money from their stolen credit cards. Most of hackers are children and teenagers. They learn how to steal money from the T.V. without knowing how dangerous it is.

Humans memory

Do you know that human are the most amazing thing in the world. Our memory has data of the best and worst memory that we have in our life. Some people like that think because it make them happy and they hope to happen again or go too the past to see it again. Otherwise, some people hate their memory because it makes them sad or mad, so they want to forget it but they can’t. Sometimes our memory related to our dreams, events, or saying. In my life, I love my country very much, but I don’t go there a lot because all my family lives in Saudi Arabia. I love Tunisia very much. Every time I go there I have a lot of fun. My family lives in rural there, which is very different from the cities. When I wake up in the morning, I realize how it is different by hearing the cow’s, chicken’s, and donkey’s sounds. But, what I like in there is the cow’s smells even some people hate it. That smell is one of best memories that I love in my life. Now, I didn’t go to Tunisia before three years. After I came to the U.S., I still miss my country. When I came here at the first time, I thought that I would never see something could remind me to my country. Suddenly, someday when I was going to my friend’s house in evergreen terrace I smelled a lovely smell “to me”. So, I remembered Tunisia right away and my dad’s place in there. I was so happy. Finally, also I have some dreams that can remind me about many things, especially dreams that happen when I become sleeping and awake. So, the human has mind that can be bigger and saver then any other memory in the world.

Tunisia

As I wrote yesterday, vacations can help people to clear their mind from their job or school. The most people in the world like to travel to coastal cities in the summer time. They like to have rest in a good place with a lot of fun and go to the good places in that country. I went to many countries in the Middle East and outside of the Middle East. All of them were beautiful and cool and each country has its own facilities. But, I like Tunisia the most not because it is my country, but because it has all the abilities to be a great country for tourists. First, Tunisia is a coastal country, so it has a lot of beautiful beaches and people can swim in a clean sea and have a lot of activities on the beach. Second, in Tunisia you can find any kind of food that you like to eat. Tunisia has almost every kind of international restaurants, where people can choose any kind of food they like to eat. Next, when I go to Tunisia, I feel that I’m in an international country. This is because many people from many countries in the world go to Tunisia, especially in the summertime. Finally, Tunisia has become a party at night. All people go to many different clubs and parties with many songs in different languages. The beautiful thing is that people spend all night having fun and meeting other people as I do. Tunisia is a beautiful country to have a good vacation. You can have fun and spend all the day with whatever you like to do.

vacation

Do you know vacation has become for some people as the wading is for an old man? Actually, I got this question from my uncle when I had my vacation in Tunisia. For me, the vacation is most beautiful gift I can get from this life, because I can travel and visit my family in three different countries or travel to a new country that I have ever seen during my vacation. First, I like to travel to a coastal city or country the most because it has many activities as swimming with a good weather in the morning or evening, and going to eat or to some nightclub at night. We can meet a lot of people from different countries and have fun with them, like what is happening to me every vacation. On the other hand, my worst time is when I stay at home during the vacation. But, sometimes I go to my friends who are staying home too to play some games or talk about some interesting subject. So we can have a little fun with ourselves. Finally, vacation is the most important thing for some people, but you are unlucky because you are staying at home; just go to your friends to have a small vacation with them.

A lonely lonely lonely

I think that you are (Anna) doing very good job when you stay alone, because you can clear your mind from your hard day or whatever stress you have. Actually, for me, I like to stay with my friends the most of the time because I really hate to feel lonely or to stay lonely. I think now you (Anna) think that I’m crazy. But, I really sometimes feel that I need to stay a lone in my bed epically when I have problem with my father or mother about something. However, I think that people who stay alone for long time or most of their time are strange. We can see from any community that most of the people like to be together. So, why are people who spend most of the time by themselves not considered as strange? “With my respect” but just I need an answer. In my culture, people are staying together most of the time, and they always tease the people who like to stay alone and I that is happening in the U.S. too. On the other hand, Sometimes people need to stay with themselves to solve their problems by themselves or remember the past by listening music. I prefer to stay alone outdoorsy like in front of some river or lake because the sound of the water can help me to relax and clear m mind. Finally, to stay alone is good thing, but if you stay too much it is going to affect your mind. Because of we need some people around us to talk with them and to learn new news about this life.

The Election

When I was in back home in 2000 and 2004, I was watching the election of the U.S. and I thought that the election of the U.S. is the same as in the Middle Eastern countries. But, when I came here and watched and understood the American election, I realized how this country is organized and how people in this country have freedom to make their choice. First, there are many differences between Middle Eastern country’s system and the American’s system. In the U.S., the election takes a long time. The first thing is that the Democrats have their election between some people who are able to be president in their group, and Republicans have the same thing. Second, after people vote for the person who they want to be president from their group of the Democrats or the Republicans, they start to vote for their person who is from their party to be the president. Differently, in my country the election takes a shorter time then the election in America. I think that we have an unfair election in my country. We do not have two groups which can have competition between themselves. We have different people from different groups who do advertisements about what they will do in the future to make people vote for them. Finally, the man who wins is the same president with a much higher percentage than the other candidates. I like the election in the U.S., because it is more honest than the election in the other countries.

Language

For me, I think languages are the most beautiful thing in life. The world has a lot of countries and every country has its own language. It is impossible to speak all of these languages. But, as this world has important countries that people have jobs in or travel to, there are some languages that are more important than others. First, I would like to give two paces of advices, one to the parents and the other one to the children or students. I would tell the parents to try to make their children learn the languages when they become young by putting them in the international school to make them get the accent of the language speak it very easily. The second piece of advice which is for the children, is to study hard and I know that you not going to like that in the school, but you are going to appreciate your parents for what they did that is the children are going to see how they are different from other people when they grow up. Finally, the best ways to make children learn a language is to put them in school or make them read a book or watch T.V.

My best way to Travel

As we know, there are more than five percent of people in the world who travel from some place to another one. First, for me since I was child, I have traveled by many ways like plane, car, and train. The way that I like most is the plane for many reasons. Next, I like to travel by plane because it is very fast. We can travel between the countries in a couple of hours, while any other transportation take hours more than the plane. For example, the plane takes from New York to Chicago 2:30 hours, while the car takes 14 hours. Second, people can take a rest and be comfortable in the in the plane. When people travel, they can sleep as much as they want or go to the bathroom anytime. In the plane, we can have food at anytime depending on flight time. Finally, planes now are the most comfortable way for people travel.

Afraid Of the Future

Believe or don’t believe, I ask myself everyday if I can do my dream in the future or not. And can you believe that I get scary about what will happen in close and long future even I don’t like that. My dream is to be one of the biggest CEO in my country or in the world. Actually, I think that I’m lucky because we going to talk about this subject today. First, when I was young, I was watching the people who have money and who spend the money from their bag, even if this person is my mother or father. After that, I started collect the money from my father or my mother and put it in the moneybox. In that time, I started love money more and more every time. So, I stated do something very bad which is stilling the money from everybody. For example, my mother, brothers, and uncles. But I didn’t steal from my father because I was scary from him. But finally, my father found me stealing from my mother and he punished me and after that I have never steal something in my life. Next, after I grow up, I start do my own business as step by step until I went to Jordan and started my real own business. My father was sending to me money for my house rent and my school fees, so I saved a little money in my account until I heard from my friend that there were some company wanted to open and they want from people to put the money as stocks in their company. Actually, I was scared at that time about that there was plausibility to lose my money at that time. But I ventured at that time and put all the money that I saved as stock in the company. Finally, I had very good profit after one month from my stocks. And now, I will start my own business in the U.S. after one week and it is much dangerous and hard then the stocks. So, I still afraid of the future and what will happen there.

Soccer

Soccer is the most popular game in the world. We can watch it, play it, and even play it with play station every time and anywhere. The best thing in soccer is that this game doesn’t know rich or poor, friend or enemy, and son or father. People all play and have fun together as friends. First, soccer is my best game ever. I play this game every time I have free time. I am a good goalkeeper, especially when I have an important game. Second, the difference between soccer in the U.S. and my hometown is that people are don’t have good knowledge about soccer. So, we can’t find a lot American players to play with us. But, there are many international friends who can play with us. The two big differences are that in my hometown we don’t have a lot of grass in the ground but here, most fields have grass. The second big difference is that in my hometown, people speak the same language about soccer, so my team can understand each other and can negotiate with the referee. For Example, foul, corner, plenty, or he kicked me. But that is easy for me now, because here I learned many words with the time. Finally, soccer is the best game for me. I play it, watch it, read news, and the best gamer, in it.

Sharks are Endanger

In Morris’s (2008) article, “Shark Fever Hits Hastings Beach,” he claims that sharks are endangered and we should help them. First, he said that some organizations are teaching people to make them understand that sharks are going to extinction if they do not stop fishing them, and make them lovers of sharks instead of haters. For example, youthful people are having fishing just for having good time with their friends. Second, the author states that in the last few years, the number of the sharks has decreased very much and some of them are almost dead or there are low numbers of them. For example, in the last years, the number of the sharks had decreased by about 80%. Next, the author said that the organization defending the sharks had the idea of having arguments by funny way to make and some games to make people understand and change their mind about killing the sharks. Because, more sharks are going to die and so are other related animals. Finally, the author talked about someone of the organization who said that the situation is good now and the number of the sharks are increasing, now because people are more understanding about what has happened with sharks. But there are many people who do not understand.

It is apparent that the author’s idea is right in this article. He is afraid that the sharks are going to extinction. He wants people to know that the ocean will be in danger if the sharks die. The author seems happy that some of the organizations try very hard to make people understand. The author said that some people are understand but the problem is that many people still killing the sharks and that is very bad. The author’s idea of protecting the sharks should be supported by reserves pools, marine police, and reproduction.

There are many random fishers who do not understand that there are some rare sharks. So, what we can do is to open reserve pools to keep them away from random fishers who want to kill them. By reserve pools, we can make sharks increase (then before) by providing good weather, food, and a clean place. For example, shrimps were almost to extinctions, but many companies and organizations put them in reserves pools, and they have a good population now. The reserves pools have some advantage in that they can protect the sharks from pollution and make them increase in good weather. Sometimes the killers can get them by their hooks but if they do not want the fish they throw it away and that may cause injury to the fish and sometimes it makes the fish die. The reserve pools are useful and have a lot of advantages, so environment organizations.

Next, illegal fishing and fishers are going everywhere, and sometimes nobody stops them when they have random fishing. If we need to stop them, we need marine police from different countries and we should follow some organization which can control them. For example, we need our police to be like the U.N. police, so they are from different countries but the U.N. controls them. And, the marine police have a lot of advantages in the ocean’s borders. They can stop any attempt of the fishers to steal the sharks or kill them. They can stop any illegal business between the fishers in the ocean. Finally, they can stop them from getting into the reserve pools. The marine police have a lot of advantages, but we need to have an organization for them.

Finally, it is true that the sharks are increasing, but the number of other kinds of sharks is decreasing. The scientists have discovered ways to increase reproduction of the organisms that make people increase in a very fast and easy way. The doctors should reproduce the sharks and put them in the reserve pools until they get big enough to put them in the ocean. The doctors can change the genetics so that thing can be familiar with the pollution and the new changing weather of the global warming.

In conclusion, sharks are in dangerous because of the stealers and random fishers. The author said that people should not fish in random ways because they make the number of the sharks is low. We can protect sharks in three important ways. We can afford to save a place for them to live in and increase their number. Second, we can put people in the sea to watch the thieves and catch them. Third, the doctors should use science to make the sharks increase in their number and save them.

Different Holidays

In our country, people are two types. The first is the people who follow the religion and the culture. And the second type is the people who don’t follow the religion and the culture very well (not religious). The different between those type is that people who follow the religion and the culture have just two holidays every year. But, the people who don’t follow the religion and the culture also have two holidays every year but they predict new holidays and celebrate with other religions holidays. In both types, people don’t believe that they can deal with death people, they think about people who believe about this thinks are crazy “with our respect”. In my family, we are believe that there are just two holidays all the year. The first one is the called Eid Al-Fetr which we celebrate after Ramadan, and the second one called Eid Al-Adha which we celebrate after Al-Haje. But, sometimes I celebrate with my friends who have different religion and I like that. Next, dead people in our culture just have our respect and we call god t give them the mercy, but never have any kind of celebration for them. Finally, we have our celebration and people have their celebration. I respect my culture and other cultures, and I like to join my friend’s celebrations.

“Basking Shark Is Disappearing; Eradication of Canada’s
Biggest Fish Started Decades Ago To Save the Fishing Industry”


In Bueckert’s (2007) article, “Basking Shark Is Disappearing; Eradication of Canada’s Biggest Fish Started Decades Ago to Save the Fishing Industry,” he states that the basking shark, which is the largest fish found in Canadian waters, is endangered due to an intentional ‘eradication program’ initiated by the government. The large fish used to be seen quite often but now there have only been six sightings of them. The author then states that a committee that was directed by the Canadian government is in the process of presenting this species to the Environment Minister to officially name it endangered and thereby get help to save this fish. The disappearance of this species would mean that there would be an imbalance in the ecosystem. According to the committee, there are also certain ‘insect-eating birds’ that are beginning to disappear as well. This may be because of chemical usage and loss of their homes. Protecting endangered species takes time and is not going to be something that happens overnight. Finally, the author states that decisions to classify species as endangered must currently go through ministerial approval, though scientists are lobbying against that process so that the action to save these animals can be undertaken much quick. In conclusion, the author states that there are certain species that are disappearing and that those need to be saved as quickly as possible.

This article is very interesting because of the fact that there are indeed many species that are endangered throughout the world. I believe that there are many ways in which the saving of a species is important and critical. Many uneducated people believe that saving a species entails just saving it for the purpose of beauty. While it is true in my opinion that each species has its own appreciation with regard to its beauty, there are far more important reasons to be protecting these animals. These animals, for example, need to be protected because of the fact that if they disappear, then the ecosystem gets imbalanced. Mosquitoes that are normally eaten by endangered birds, for example, are now a problem because their main predator is becoming extinct. This is just one of many examples of how the ecosystem becomes imbalanced.

With regard to the basking shark specifically, the plan that was initiated by the government to eradicate them is not smart at all. Eradication of an entire species or even a percentage of that species for that matter is not proportionate to the balance in the ecosystem. The very environmental ministry that was part of the approval process of this plan needed to do their research first before they went head first into this eradication plan. If they did their research, and properly identified the problems and consequences of eradicating certain species, they would have realized that it would not be a good move to do so as this would upset the balance in the ecosystem.

I agree that now that the problem has occurred, something needs to be done about it. I also agree and am for the lobbyists that are trying to get the law changed to quicken the official declaration of the endangered species process. I disagree with the way things are currently being handled. The Environmental Minister should be able to authorize groups of scientist organizations with the power to declare a species endangered, thereby quickening the process altogether.

In conclusion, it can be said that while there are endangered species that need attention, there must also be a proper plan to save them and provide them with assistance. That plan should include the government doing their homework first before they initiate any action plans. Furthermore, the plan should include the authorization of scientific organizations to be able to declare a species endangered. Finally, each department should work in unison in order to bring these species back.

to be married

The arrange marriage is common way in the Arabic countries than others. Because of the customs, religions, cultures, and lows recommend to get marriage by your parents’ choice and by their permissions. People in my country have many different ways to married. The most common way in my country and in the Arabic countries is that if the guy likes some girl that he saw in some place, he will go and tell his mother to go and look at her and to know about her family’s history very well. Because in our culture, if we need to married some girl, she should has good family with the other people and how their culture is different from my family’s culture. After that, if the mother likes the girl, she will take another appointment to come wit her husband and the son to make engagement. However, I think that arrange marriage have good and bad things. The good things are that, you will be the only one who sleep and have good relationship with her. And, she can love the mother and the family of the man if they are good with her. On the other side, there are disadvantages too. Sometimes the man married a beautiful woman, but after days or weeks the woman can’t be comfortable with him because one of them cannot be familiar with the other one. And, sometimes the woman cannot cook very well, that if the man likes to eat “like me”. But, people how don’t control by culture rules, can have married by online, random stranger, or any other way. Because, they like there children to meet and to be comfortable with each others. And I like both ways.

One Week Break

During the days that we have break, I went to St. Louis with my friend for three reasons. First, it is the closest big city to Carbondale. We can get in two hours, while we can get to the other cities in more than three or four hours and I have many friends in there. Second, me and my friends decided before the break to go somewhere where we can have smell new and fresh air. I don’t mean that Carbondale has bad or dirty smell. I mean that we need to go to big city to make us feel that we are in the U.S. and to have fun there. Third, my friend has been in the hospital of St. Louis for one month and I have visit him for one day, so I use this beak to visit him before and after he did the surgery in his Lung. Finally, actually I didn’t have much fun in St. Louis because I have been there more than seven times. But at least, the break has some advantages such as “smell new and fresh air.”

Animals ‘hit by global warming’

In Hirsch’s (2005) article, “Animals hit by global warming,” he asserts that this world is in a dangerous situation of weather conditions because of many reasons. First, he states that a meeting of global organizations found that the changing of the weather in northernmost and southernmost part of the planet earth gradually from cold weather to hot weather affects the animals. Next, the author says that the changing of the weather is really happening, and we can see that from unusual moving of the animals around the world that the north and south has been changing in the weather. After that, the author states that even if some animals can be familiar with their new environment, there are many animals that cannot be familiar, so that makes them die. Finally, the author mentions that the earth has always been familiar with the weather changing, but now the changing is going very fast, so the earth may not able to handle the situation. In conclusion, the author states that the weather is changing because of thawing ice and scattering deserts, so people have to find a solution to this problem very quickly.
It’s true that the world has a big problem because of global warming. So, it is obvious that the author’s view is true. Million of animals are dying every day. In just a few years, the world has lost many kinds of animals around the world. The ice is keeps melting and the desert is still spreading. So, the animals will keep dying and after that humans will die too. The idea that people are selfish because they do not think about the animals and how to find a solution is very good. We can answer the author by finding three ways to make the animals have a good life. We should make strong organization to protect animals, make big land for animals, and make people realize their mistakes.
First, humans can have lawyer when they go to court to protect them from the prison or from death, but animal killed without trial. The author was talking in the beginning about how a few countries from Europe had a meeting to find solutions to the global warming problem. The question is why there are a few countries, which represent the E.U. to solve these big problems, while most of the countries in the world are represent in the U.N. and attack countries and destroy in the earth. As a result, the E.U. organization should have a very strong nation to protect the wildlife and its areas, which are threatened by factories and other human’s ways to destroy this world.
Second, the biggest area of this world was for the animals. But, this world has been taken by intrusive ways, as humans think that they haven the right to live in safe and clean places. Also, animals have the same right to have the same things and more. Animals now have started to die every day. So, the E.U. organization should afford for the animal scores or more large places around the world as reserves with many different climates, such that every group of animals can be familiar with climate. For example, animals which are familiar with ice should have part of Iceland, or ones which like hot weather should have part in Saudi Arabia. In addition, these parts of the earth have to have their own border and rules as countries of the animals. Finally, we should take care of the animals because as they have to live, we as human have to live too.
Third, gas is one of the biggest problems; animals and humans struggle in their live because of it. As we know, most of things in the world are working because of gas, for example, factories, cars, airplanes, and even some things we use in our house. The problem is that we cannot stop the development of the construction on the earth, but we can make people understand the idea of being in a dangerous situation if we keep using these resources.
In conclusion, the weather is changing in this earth. Animals are dying every day because of people. The changing of the weather will affect the animals, and then it is going to kill the people. We should watch ourselves about what are we doing now because the warming is going very fast now. There are three ways to solve this problem. We should find a strong organization, provide a good environment for the animals, and make people understand the problems of gas.

Carbondale v.s. Tunis

My hometown is Tunis. If people from Carbondale travel to Tunis, they will see many differences between these two cities. First, Tunis has a more European style, and it seems more like Italy, Greece, and France. For example, the windows and doors in Greece are blue, while the houses become white. In Carbondale, houses are made from wood and have different style. American food is much easer and fast. But, Tunisian food takes a longer time and tastes better. Then, the economy of the U.S. depends on investors and industrials. The Tunisian economy depends on agriculture first, and tourism second. In the Summertime, Tunis changed as an International country because we can see much International tourism especially from Europe. But, in Carbondale you always feel that you are in English society. Finally, I like Tunis and Carbondale, but there is a very big difference between them.

My School

In my life, I never studied in my country in any type of schools. My school was in Saudi Arabia and Syria. My school in Saudi Arabia was good with everything. Such as, our classes, computer lab, since lab, and sport fields. Our semester classes start in the end of the summer. Next, we were wearing the Saudis traditional clothes (thoob). The good thing in our school was that teachers were coming to the class. My school was so funny as here in the U.S. The life in my school was easier because, when I got home, I found the food was ready, and I have our family driver to pick me up.

Coffee and Tea

Coffee and tea are very popular in my country (Tunisia), my mother's country (Syria), and the country where I live (Saudi Arabia). In the Arabic countries, every country has its own traditional coffee or tea. For example, in Syria people like Turkish coffee, but in Saudi Arabia people like the Arabic yellow coffee. Usually Turkish coffee reminds me to my mother because she likes to drink it every morning. I love Turkish coffee because my mother loves it too, and I like red tea because it tastes very good. Actually, I like all of these drinks because all of them remind me about other things. For example, Saudi or (Arabic) yellow coffee reminds me about when I was with my friends camping in the desert and we have a good time there. I know that some people don't like coffee because of the taste is not sweet. But they should like if they have a lot of tests. Because, it always makes them a wake.

movies with culture

In my country, there is no huge movie industry. Because, the Arabic language that we speak in Tunisia is very difficult to understand it from other Arabic countries. But, my mother country has very huge industrial movies and series. In my country people like to watch American movies with French speakers. But, in other Arabic countries, people are like Arabic movies and international movies. Next, people like American movies the most and French movies comes second. After that, For me, I like American movies the most and like Arabic movies the second. Finally, my favorite movie is "Troy". I love this movie because it's talk about real story and it has good actors. Movies are very important in every culture in the world.

My Song

My favorit music is Arabic (Syrian) music. I like it because I love my mother's country, and it's part of my mother's country. And, It has very good words for love. My favorite artist is Celine Dion and her song "Just Walk Away". When I listen to this song, I remeber my ex-girlfriend in Syria because she was loving this song, and I remember our time together. I start listen to this song before four years, when I was in love her. I think everybody who had or having love has favorite song.

Tunisian Couscous

Couscous is my favorite food because, It taste very good,it has a lot of meat and it is healthy. Couscous remind me to my family, even if my small family in Saudi Arabia because my mother do it in there, or my large family in Tunisia. Couscous is the native food in Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, and Morocco. And, it is different little bit between those countries by color, spices and the kind of meat.Couscous made by kind of rise with vegetables, meat, chicken or fish, sauce and spices. I hope you taste it if you didn't before. it is delicious.

Before and After Coming to The U.S.

Before I came here, I thought that people are very dangerous. my mother was always saying "be careful" from thieves.I thought that people are very racist. the image which movies gave us was wrong sometimes. I was knowing that some movie show us the true image about some places in the U.S. When I came here, I saw that people are very kind more than what I was think. Some old women are not kind in airports. People here are more respectful with other people. Police in here are more committed than police in my country. I know that Carbondale where I live in is small city, so there is no many dangerous people in here. Finally, some images in my head changes because it is true, and others changed because it was wrong.
